Mission Agape supports the impoverished community of Jicamarca Peru. Jicamarca is a suburb community of Lima. Poverty is overwhelming. The environment is dry, dusty and inhospitable, yet the local residents are filled with warmth and happiness. Our goal is to help the local community set up the infrastructure necessary to improve lives. Our present activities include: supplying the local youth with soccer equipment, uniforms, a field and a coach, rehabilitating the program’s building, and supplying solar lanterns.
This year (2023) we have expanded our activities into the capitol city of Lima itself. We are providing hot meals twice a week to one of the most challenged neighborhoods in Lima. This new focus is requiring significantly greater support in terms of both human and financial resources. Our US team is targeting a visit to Peru in middle to late summer. Come join us!
